Notice of Construction-Wastewater Pumping Station Upgrades

Dorchester Avenue

Payne Avenue

Cedar Street

Market Street

Start Date: April 3, 2023, Payne Avenue at Market Street, weather permitting.

Description of Work Activities:

Pocomoke City has contracted with M2 Construction LLC to perform upgrades to pumping stations located at the above locations.

The work consists of removing existing pumping equipment and associated controls, performing concrete rehabilitation, painting, modifications to existing structures and or equipment, associated yard piping and site work.  Bypass pumping will be performed while all work is performed and new equipment is installed, tested, and operating successfully.

Anticipated Duration:

The overall project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2023. Each pumping station will require 8 to 10 weeks of activity, weather dependent.

Action Required by Residents:

All are encouraged to take note of the construction activity and signage in the area and allow extra travel time due to partial or full road closures as delays may occur. For safety reasons caution should be exercised when traveling through a construction area and please keep children and pets away from the construction area.
