Flood Mitigation Concept Plans for Cypress Park (Preliminary)

Rauch Engineering, consultant for the Cypress Park Flood Mitigation Study has prepared concepts plans to address the long term flooding situation at Cypress Park.  The basic three approaches (Shown in C1.2, C1.3 and C1.4) involve bringing in fill dirt under three different scenarios and raising the elevation about one to two feet north of the tennis/pickleball courts.   Each approach has to take into consideration wetland mitigation.  The costs for each of the three options ranges from approximately $120,000 to $320,000.  The plans do not propose any alternative uses at this time.  The public is encouraged to review and send any comments to the Planning Director (dan@pocomokemd.gov).
