If you are planning to peddle goods or services in Pocomoke City, follow these rules: 

      1. Contact City Hall 

           a. Reach out to City Hall, in advance of your planned solicitation date(s), at 410-957-1333 during business hours,

                8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

           b. Visit them at 101 Clarke Avenue, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.

           c. Email the City Clerk at mstafford@pocomokemd.gov for inquiries or to obtain the peddlers' application. 

       2. Contact all relevant departments listed on the application.

           a. Police, Fire, EMS, Public Works, Health Department

           b. Receive Signatures on application as needed.

On Wednesday, February 19th, there will be a Planning and Zoning Commission meeting for RZNE#111-2025: To rezone B-2 General Business to R-# Multi-Family District. The Commission meeting is open to the public if anyone would like to attend. For details on the rezoning, please see the attachments.

Due to the impending weather, Pocomoke City offices will be closing today at 1 pm.

PUBLIC NOTICE: SPECIAL ELECTION 

There will be a meeting for the upcoming Special Election on January 31, 2025 at 3:15 pm. 

All trash pick up will be on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 within Pocomoke City limits. There will be a second round of trash pickup beginning at 5pm.

Pocomoke City Government offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Pocomoke City Police, EMS, and Public Works will be on duty to continue to protect and assist the residents of our community. There will be no trash removal or bulk pickup due to icy weather conditions tomorrow. An updated trash removal schedule will be posted. 

A Snow Emergency has been declared by Mayor Nock for the City of Pocomoke City as of 6pm on Sunday, January 5th. Please remove all parked vehicles from city roads as we prepare for imminent winter weather conditions. Pretreatment of roads will begin after this time and the plowing of streets will begin after 1 inch of snow has accumulated on road surfaces. Stay tuned to for updates as weather conditions change.

The Mayor and City Council will be holding an emergency Council Meeting on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 10:00am at City Hall.
