A Resolution for the Annexation of a 2.494 Acre Parcel of Land Contiguous to and Binding Upon the Corporate Limits of Pocomoke City
NOTICE is hereby given by the Mayor and City Council of Pocomoke City, that on Monday, April 20, 2026, Resolution Number 2026-R-11 was introduced.
The purpose of Resolution Number 2026-R-11 is to annex into Pocomoke City a 2.494 acre parcel of land which is contiguous to and binding upon the corporate limits of Pocomoke City. The parcel is located at the intersection of the easterly side of U.S. Rt. 13 Northbound and the southerly side of MD 366 (Stockton Road). Upon annexation to the City, the property will be designated B-2, General Business Zoning District.
NOTICE is further hereby given that, in accordance with §4-406 of the Local Government Article, Ann.Code of Maryland, the Mayor and City Council for Pocomoke City will hold a public hearing on the proposed annexation and resolution on:

All interested parties are invited to attend said public hearings and present their views.

for Ordinance Number 2026-O-9
An Ordinance to Amend the City’s Zoning Code to Extend the Time for Nonconforming Uses
NOTICE is hereby given by the Mayor and City Council of Pocomoke City, that on Monday, April 20, 2026, Ordinance Number 2026-O-9 was introduced. The purpose of Ordinance Number 2026-O-9 is to amend Chapter 230, Article IV-General Regulations, § 230-15 entitled “Nonconforming uses.” The ordinance would extend the time period for cessation of a nonconforming use from six months to twelve months before the nonconforming use terminates.
NOTICE is further hereby given that, in accordance with §4-203 of the Land Use Article, Ann. Code of Maryland, the Mayor and City Council for Pocomoke City will hold a public hearing on the proposed ordinance on:
