With the end of 2024 upon us and the holiday season approaching, here are the dates for the remaining garbage collection schedule:

  • November 11th - Veterans Day, will be picked up on Tuesday, November 12th.
  • November 28th  - Thanksgiving, will be picked up on Wednesday, November 27th.
  • November 29th - Native American Heritage Day. will be picked up on Wednesday, November 27th.
  • December 24th & 25th - Christmas, will be picked up on Monday December 23rd.

Bulk collection will take place on :

  • November 13th
  • December 11th

The addition of Chapter 186, Rental Property Registration, to the Pocomoke City Code is here to help everyone register their rental properties smoothly and in a timely manner. Go to "Public Notices" for the link or stop in at City Hall to pick up a copy with the checklist to ask questions.  Let’s work together so you can get an early start on repairs and pass inspection without waiting until the last minute.

THE POCOMOKE CITY RENTAL REGISTRATION PROGRAM IS NOW IN EFFECT.  POCOMOKE CITY NOW REQUIRES REGISTRATION AND INSPECTION OF RENTAL PROPERTIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROTECTING THE HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE OF THE RESIDENTS OF POCOMOKE CITY, IMPROVING RENTAL HOUSING CONDITIONS, PREVENTING THE DETERIORATION OF HOUSING STOCK, AND PROVIDING SAFE AND SANITARY HOUSING CONDITIONS.
